NK Half Marathon

REGISTRATION CLOSED - MAXIMUM CAPACITY REACHED A maximum number of starting spots has been set for the National Championships. It is no longer possible to register for the National Half Marathon Championships.

In 2026, the HiPRO Utrecht Marathon, supported by Utrecht Science Park, will host the Dutch Half Marathon Championships. On Sunday, May 31, elite athletes and recreational runners will compete side by side for the national half marathon titles right in the heart of Utrecht. The course is fast, the crowd is enthusiastic, and the atmosphere is unique.

All participants in the Dutch Championship will be placed in the same starting block by category set up. This compartment is located in front of the starting block for recreational participants. Each category is identified by a separate set of bib numbers corresponding to that category.

You can pick up your physical race number at Padualaan 99 – Buiten at Utrecht Science Park. To pick up your race number for the National Championships, you must present a valid Dutch passport or ID card. A driver’s license is not acceptable. Please bring this with you when you come to pick up your race number; otherwise, we will not be able to give it to you.

You can pick up your race number at the following times and locations:

Saturday, May 3, Padualaan 99 – Outdoor 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 31 Padualaan 99 – Outdoors from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Requirements for Participation in the National Championships

Dutch nationality
Member of the Athletics Federation
You hold a competition license issued by the Athletics Federation
Successfully completed the Doping Authority’s Bronze and Silver e-learning courses

The HiPRO Utrecht Marathon, supported by Utrecht Science Park, features a beautiful course through the heart of Utrecht. Every year, this running event attracts not only thousands of enthusiastic participants but also a large crowd of spectators cheering you on along the route. The start and finish are at Utrecht Science Park.

Following the conclusion of the Dutch Half Marathon Championships, the awards ceremony will take place at P4 Aarhuslaan in Utrecht Science Park.

If, in the masters category, the performance of the 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd-place athlete meets the medal standard, the gold, silver, and/or bronze medal will be awarded, respectively. In that case, the winner will be awarded the title of “Dutch Champion.”
