On Sunday, May 31, 2026, Utrecht will be hosting the HiPRO Utrecht Marathon. To ensure the event runs smoothly, some roads will be temporarily closed. On this page, you can find all the information you need about getting around the city for event attendees, residents, and visitors alike.

TRANSPORTATION SUNDAY, MAY 31
Take the tram to Utrecht Science Park
During the HiPRO Utrecht Marathon on Sunday, May 31, you can take the Transdev tram. Starting at 7:00 a.m., the tram will run eight times every hour from Utrecht Central Station to Utrecht Science Park. Participants and spectators can board and alight at the “Heidelberglaan” stop at Utrecht Science Park. The “Padualaan” stop will not be in service on this day.
HIPRO UTRECHT MARATHON PARCOURSES
All distances of the HiPRO Utrecht Marathon start and finish at Utrecht Science Park. The route passes through both the historic city center and the surrounding green areas. Houten and Lunetten are also part of the Utrecht Science Park Marathon.
